Look at the fun we had!

Dear Friends,

Another Roman Feast has come and gone and we at YES want to say thank you to everyone who attended in support of our organization!

The 40th YES Roman Feast & Charity Auction was a wonderful event with a sold-out crowd. Our success was made possible by talented co-chairs Stacie Straw and Sarah Bubna, a dedicated group of committee members and volunteers, and many generous supporters. We are especially grateful to major corporate sponsors -- Hoag Hospital, Park Newport and ZT Net Solutions as well as to our major private sponsors -- Bill & Pat Podlich and John & Mary Lynn Bergman Rallis.

Guests bid on more than 100 auction items, enjoyed great food and entertainment, viewed an informative video, heard a moving speech by one of our YES youth, and helped raise thousands of dollars to support our cause -- to help Orange County youth prepare for the workforce and secure good jobs that will lead them to economic independence and personal self-sufficiency.

In today's world, YES services are needed more than ever! Placing youth in jobs makes a tremendous difference in their lives -- lifting them from poverty, expanding their horizons, and preparing them for productive and meaningful lives. Over the years, YES has counseled and mentored more than 46,000 youth and, with the generous support of Roman Feast sponsors and guests, we are able to help many more.

The Roman Feast served as a springboard for a new initiative, It Takes Work, because while youth have more career choices than ever, they often lack exposure to what is required to embark on those careers. The goal of It Takes Work is to develop a program that is bigger than today's YES and bigger than Orange County. To that end, we are exploring partnerships with successful business and community leaders, athletes and celebrities whom we have asked to share their stories about the effort it took them to achieve success. If you would like to share your own success story and how it took hard work to get where you are today, please get in touch with us.

Regards,

P.S. We hope to see you at next year's Feast!
